And a tiny more about Beatrix Potter's Dolls' House!

Another little post because I like snippets of information like this!

Beatrix kept in touch with her last governess, Annie Carter, who was only three years older than herself. Annie subsequently married, becoming Annie Moore, and went on to have eight children.

The two lovely miniatures above the fireplaces in the living room of the dolls' house at Hill Top are of her two youngest children.

  

This miniature is of Hilda Moore, born May 1902.

And this miniature is of Beatrix Moore, born November 1903.

The miniatures were painted by Annie's older sister, Rosie, who was a miniature artist.
